Present Tenses
Present simple
It is used to talk about facts, routines and habits.
Structure: Subject + verb (+ s/es in third person) + complement
Example: She works in a hospital.
Present continuous
It is used to talk about actions that are happening right now.
Structure: Subject + am/is/are + verb-ing + complement
Example: They are studying for their exam.
Past Tenses
Past Simple
It is used to talk about actions completed in the past.
Structure: Subject + verb in the past + complement
Example: I visited Paris last summer.
Past Continuous
It is used to talk about actions that were in progress at a specific time in the past.
Structure: Subject + was/were + verb-ing + complement
Example: She was cooking when I called.
Future Verb Tenses
Simple Future (will)
It is used for predictions, promises or spontaneous decisions.
Structure: Subject + will + verb + complement
Example: I will call you tomorrow.

Example: We are going to visit grandma next weekend.
Perfect Verb Tenses
Present Perfect
It is used to connect the past with the present, for recent experiences and actions.
Structure: Subject + have/has + past participle + complement
Example: I have lived in this city for 10 years.
Present Perfect Continuous
It is used for actions that began in the past and continue to the present.
Structure: Subject + have/has + been + verb-ing + complement
Example: She has been working here since 2010.
