Erasmus program +

What is the Erasmus+ program?

Erasmus is a European student exchange program that allows you to study in Europe. The EU has been funding the Erasmus program for almost 30 years, which has allowed more than three million European students to carry out part of their studies at another higher education institution or with an organization in another European country.

Erasmus+ extends these opportunities to everyone: students, staff, scholarship holders, teachers, volunteers, etc. It offers opportunities to interested parties from all over the world.

Erasmus+ aims to go beyond these programs by promoting mutual enrichment between the different areas of education, training and youth, eliminating borders between the formats of the various actions and projects, promoting new ideas, attracting new agents from the world of work and civil society and promoting new forms of cooperation.

The program is divided into the following names for actions aimed at a specific sector.

  • Erasmus+: Comenius, in program activities belonging exclusively to the field of school education;
  • Erasmus+: Erasmus, in the program activities belonging exclusively to the field of higher education and focused on the program countries;
  • Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus, in the joint Erasmus Mundus master's degrees;
  • Erasmus+: Leonardo da Vinci, in the program activities belonging exclusively to the field of vocational training;

  • Erasmus+: Sports, in the program activities belonging exclusively to the sports field.

MULTILINGUALISM

Multilingualism is one of the cornerstones of the European project and a clear symbol of the EU's aspirations for unity in diversity. Foreign languages play a prominent role among the skills that will help better equip people for the job market and make the most of the opportunities available. The EU has set the goal that all citizens have the opportunity to learn at least two foreign languages from an early age.

EQUITY AND INCLUSION
